Planning a wedding in Dubai means a long list of things to organise, and your beauty prep should not be a last-minute rush. At Beloved Beauty Salon, a ladies-only salon in France Cluster, International City, we help brides plan their hair, skin, nails and makeup step by step. Here is a simple timeline you can follow.

3 Months Before: Consultation and Skin Plan

Book a consultation to talk through your wedding look, your outfits and any events before the big day, such as the mehndi, engagement or reception. This is the best time to start a series of facials if you want brighter, clearer skin, because skin needs a few weeks to respond. Read more in our guide to your first facial at Beloved.

6 to 4 Weeks Before: Hair Colour and Smoothing

If you plan to change your hair colour, add balayage or highlights, or have a keratin or nanoplastia treatment, do it now. This leaves time for the colour to settle and for any small adjustments before your trial. Avoid big hair changes in the final two weeks.

4 to 3 Weeks Before: Makeup and Hair Trial

Your trial is where we test your makeup look and hairstyle together. Bring photos of your outfit, jewellery and looks you love. Take pictures in daylight and indoor light so you can see how the look photographs. Find out more on our Bridal & Events page.

2 Weeks Before: Brows and Hair Trim

• Shape your brows with threading so they have time to settle.
• Have a light trim to remove split ends, without changing your length.
• Book a hair spa or protein treatment if your hair feels dry.

1 Week Before: Final Facial

Your final facial should be about a week before the wedding, so any redness has time to calm down. Many brides choose a HydraFacial for an instant glow. Avoid trying new skincare products this week.

2 to 3 Days Before: Waxing, Nails, Lashes and Henna

• Waxing 2 to 3 days before, so the skin is smooth and calm.
• Manicure and pedicure, with Gelish or BIAB for a long-lasting finish.
• Lash extensions, if you want fuller lashes for your photos.
• Bridal henna, usually 1 to 2 days before, so the colour deepens in time.

On the Day

Eat something light, drink water, and wear a top that opens at the front so you can change without disturbing your hair and makeup. Leave plenty of time and let your makeup artist know of any changes to your schedule.
